Annie

It’s easy to underestimate the appeal of this family-friendly show, but the full stage play (unlike the two film versions) intelligently depicts Depression-era New York City with insight and compassion. This design of this package reflects the integrity of approach the authors intended.

Costumes

The lush costume package designed by Cathleen Edwards was originally created for the American Musical Theatre of San Jose, and offers a vivid palette of period-authentic attire for a wide swath of 1930s characters, from a wealthy millionaire and his uniformed staff, to the Presidential cabinet of Franklin Roosevelt, to the colorful denizens of Times Square, to the depressed residents of Miss Hannigan’s orphanage. Additional costumes are provided for an enlarged retinue of girl orphans.
