Curtains
A surprise hit of the 2007 Broadway season, this murder mystery musical, set in Boston’s Colonial Theatre during the 1959 theatre season, features a witty book by Rupert Holmes and a terrifically funny score by John Kander and Fred Ebb. Detective Frank Cioffi is called to the theatre to investigate the murder of a notoriously untalented leading lady. While unraveling the mystery, the stagestruck policeman becomes increasingly involved with the musical being produced, “Robbin’ Hood: A Tale of the Old West.”

Costumes
Designer Debbie Roberts created a vibrant and comprehensive costume package, ranging from stylish, chic 1950s fashions for the executives, to a stage full of wildly colorful Wild West characters in the show-within-the-show (including a few unlikely mermaids swimming around a show boat!). This costume package reflects an unusually witty approach to “show biz” traditions.
