PIN001

Built in 2015. Beautifully designed, charmingly rendered all-inclusive package of sets, props, costumes, and backdrops. Locations include Geppetto’s toy shop (interior and exterior, on three rotating units), Stromboli’s puppet theatre (onstage and backstage), Professor Buonragazzo’s “Perfect Child” machine (with hidden playground slide for delivering the kids), Pleasure Island (with illuminated amusement park attractions), the interior of the whale (with Pinocchio’s growing “nose”), a tall rolling “Blue Fairy Tower,” and a versatile “on the road” scrim (55′ wide x 26′ high) used multiple times within the show. Costumes for cast of around 50, including 22 children and a Pinocchio “double,” to aid the magic transformation during the finale. Set design by J Branson, and costume design by Tiia E. Torchia (click here for a gallery of costumes), with an effective “whale” video designed by Timothy Babb, also available.  All the designs for the characters’ costumes and for the evocative sets were inspired by the animated film “Pinocchio,” but are wholly original in execution.
