    Hello Mrs. Mary Sue Dymak,

I take this opportunity to wish you much success with your production Legally Blonde.

By visiting your website I was very happy to know that the sets and costumes for rent Legally Blonde will be next fall. In the arts everything book quickly. So I want to submit a rental application for the costumes and sets for Legally Blonde for a minimum of 30 days (late April 2014 and May 2014 … maybe in June too!)

The information I’d like to know about the set:
    - Dimensions for sets and backdrops
    - Price per week (or per month) for sets (sets, props, costumes, backdrops)
    - Amount of costumes for each of the shows I mentioned above

Thank you for response to my request.

    Looking forward,

    Jerome Tremblay

I am interested in renting your costumes for our musical Beauty and the Beast next year. How many characters can your company costume?
Do you have a cost breakdown of your costumes? How long in advance should
we rent from your company? And is it possible to rent costumes without renting backdrops or set pieces. You costumes are AMAZING!!!

I am producing “Legally Blonde” opening September 21, 2012 and am checking to see if your set/props/costumes would be available for rental. I am scheduled to run thru October 7th, loading out on the 8th. We load in the show on Sunday September 16th. The show is at the PCPA Newmark theatre and here is the link to the technical specs of the space. http://www.pcpa.com/facilities/technical-specifications/newmark if you need to check on the space.
Thanks in advance for your help – Greg

    Hi Shabazz,
See some of the earlier comments on Hairspray. I think you’ll find some answers.

  8. Shabazz Green says:

Hi, I am producing HARISPRAY at a high school in West Orange, NJ this Spring. We are having trouble finding a safe aerosol, Hairspray product to use for the show. Is there any help you can give us?

  9. Margaret Vance says:

Is it possible to hire someone from your staff to make a costume?

  10. mikey says:

From Mary Sue Dymak: Hi Bobbie. I don’t have any zoot suits in our theatrical rental stock. Our policy is to not rent to individuals but only theatrical organizations. I do know that many tuxedo shops are now carrying these types for weddings. Best of luck!

  11. Bobbie Wilson says:

I am looking for 4 zoot suits for my daughters wedding for the groom and groomsmen. Do you have these for rent?

  12. mikey says:

    Hi, Owen.
Actually we have just purchased the costumes from THE MUSIC MAN, and they’ll be here in a couple weeks. We don’t have the sets for that show, though. We do have the antique train seats, and we have some various drops. The Wells Fargo Wagon really is a challenge. I’ll forward this on to Mary Sue Dymak, our rentals director. Perhaps she will have some ideas.
    Best of luck to you,
    Wayne Bryan

Sometimes you can find a farmer that has an old buggy chassis and build off of that; but actually getting a Wagon that is accurate and will fit on your stage is a big problem. I would suggest going on line to get photos of an old delivery truck (circa 1905-1910) to see what can be built. It depends on your blocking as well. I’ve seen productions where the wagon is never seen. We only see Harold come in with the trumpet for Winthrop followed by a few others with boxes containing some band hats and other instruments.

    Have fun!
    -Mary Sue

Dear Music Theatre of Wichita Rentals,

I am interested in renting a few of your sets and I wanted to know more information about the following sets:

    • “The Drowsy Chaperone”
    • “High School Musical 2”
    • “Hairspray”
    • “Thoroughly Modern Millie”
    • “Seussical”
    • “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast”
    • “My Fair Lady”
    • “Wizard of Oz”
    • “Cinderella”

The information I’d like to know about the sets are as followed:

    • Dimensions for sets
    • Price per week for sets/backdrops
    • Price for just costumes
    • Price for just sets
    • Estimated price for sets, props, costumes, backdrops.
    • Amount of costumes for each of the shows I mentioned above

My other question is, how far West of the United States do you ship? Also, if I arranged to rent a full package for one of your sets, could I have the costumes sent to my theatre before the set and other parts of the show are sent down? (for costume fittings) Much appreciated and I look forward to hearing from you.

    ~ Mark T.

  16. I requested information yesterday about the complete rental package for the Drowsy Chaperone and I would also like to ask to more questions. Please include information about size spec on the set and backdrop, including the airplane. Along with my second question about any special mechanics of the plane, if it needs a fly system or anything else. If there are other special features about the set that I might need to know about, I am very curious. For example the tap dance number with hot feet, with the smoke machine…is that something that comes with the package as a special effect or not? I want to know now what I will need to plan for outside of the package.
Thank you so much in advance for your time.
    Wayne
